Manufacturers and Suppliers of Veterinary Herbal Medicines and Dietary supplements Since 1948

Veterinary Standards

TOTAL QUALITY CONTROL
Quality controls checks are made on all raw materials before they are accepted, using scientific methods to ensure that they meet the specifications of the British Herbal or European Pharmacopoeia and to confirm that there has been no pollution or contamination. During manufacture tests are carried out to confirm conformity and purity, microbiological monitoring takes place as well as stability testing on the finished products to ensure that the medicines retain their strength and effectiveness through their storage and shelf life. Records are kept of any suspected adverse reactions, although as you would expect with herbal medicines, these are virtually non-existent.

ADVERSE REACTIONS AND LONG TERM SIDE EFFECTS
Records are kept of any reports of adverse reactions to our products, although as you would expect with herbal medicines these are virtually non-existent. However, if you have any particular concern or would like further information we will be please to supply it.

HOMŒOPATHIC REMEDIES
We do not manufacture the homœopathic remedies in our range ourselves. Their manufacture is very specialised and we have commissioned one of the leading homœopathic manufacturers in the UK to produce the range for us. We are satisfied that we are therefore able to offer you the same quality control on these as for the rest of the Dorwest Herbs range.

SHELF LIFE
All our tablets and capsules have a three year shelf life from the date of manufacture. You will find the 'best before' or 'expiry' dates on the container as well as details of administration. Once the seal has been broken, the container should be kept closed, airtight and in a dry place below 25°C to ensure the continued quality of the product.

ANIMAL TESTING
Our range of veterinary products has been proven through their traditional use on companion animals for 50 years - we are pleased to be able to reassure our customers that it is therefore not necessary for the products themselves or any of the traditional ingredients to be subject to any form of unethical animal testing procedures.
